Rain, Breakdowns & Ratatouille

We got back yesterday from five days at Disneyland Paris with my sister Bianca, Benedikte and the kids. Home base was the Newport Bay Club, comfortable and well-placed.

The trip started with proper drama the night before departure: our car broke down on the freeway after dropping off our dog at the in-laws. We sorted it and made the flight, slightly frazzled but committed.

It rained most of the time. Real, persistent rain. We embraced the poncho life and carried on anyway.

Disneyland Paris delivered its usual magic. The undisputed champion for the whole group? Ratatouille: The Adventure, everyone loved it, no debate. Clever, fun, and worth every repeat in the rain.

Tired legs, shared laughs, and quality family time made it all worthwhile. The kids’ faces in the parks are the memories that stick.
